Title: 10. Six Months Ago

It's been six months since the sewers, the day Beverly Marsh sees blood in the toilet bowl.

Her shoulder aches where she hit the wall recoiling away, her knuckles are pressed whitely against her mouth, and she must not scream, her mother's just down the hall, she must not--

Got to tell the others, she thinks. Tell them It's coming back, and that's when she realizes there's more blood. On the edge of her hand, on her thighs, and oh my god It's IN me, It's in ME --

Her throat knots in terror, loathing, despair, helpless rage, and a whimper escapes her, and her mother's voice comes from right outside the bathroom door: "Bevvie?"



Even years later, Bev never quite forgives her mother for not warning her sooner what to expect.
