Two new drabbles for the Heroes S1 Title Project!
The first one turned out way too long. I'm calling it a double drabble.

Title: 1. Genesis
This we are taught: in the beginning the world was made, and the great Turtle caught it on his back and saved it from falling into the void.
The truth, as with all beginnings, is more complicated.
In the absence of a dense magical field, matter tends to collect around stars, usually in whorls that gradually form into spheres. But free-floating magic has its own attraction, which matter tends to interpret as gravity.
Watch with an attention span measured in millenia and see the accretion mass build, flattening as it grows. Watch the eddies where two smaller pockets of matter coalesce, swinging in a dance about the larger part; watch as one of them compresses impossibly under the field pressure, hot and dense enough to ignite.
At some indefinable point the mass is no longer an amorphous blob but a half-molten disc, floating in the silent dark between stars. Strange elements recombine in the magical field, forming an atmosphere; the denser of the two orbiting spheres finally bursts into fusion fire, pouring down heat and light. Soon the first water molecules will form, and soon after that will come the first rains.
And sometime in there a presence arrived, unseen even by our omniscient eyes. The disc is no longer floating, but being carried.
See the Turtle of enormous girth; on Her shell She holds the earth.

Title: 18. Parasite
She don't do nothin for this crew, not a ruttin thing. Like them critters, what d'you call em, that hook on to bigger critters and just ride along, takin a share of the food.
I pull my weight and I earn my pay on this boat, can't nobody say I don't.
But day she takes a butcher knife to me, half of em run to her. Like she's the one got hurt, stead of the one did the hurtin. And day Mal finally takes it into his head to talk about maybe she's dangerous, they all keep sayin the same thing: I don't think she'd ever hurt any of us.
Third time they say that, it ain't even worth bringin up the butcher knife again.

I need some ideas for additional fandoms. *considers*
