1. IT saying "bring in the CPU" means bring in the computer case itself, and don't bother lugging along the monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

I had the Blue Screen of DOOM back in January, and it turned out to be a hard drive failure. Here's hoping your problem is more easily solved.
