Finding My Feet

So I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to use this LJ for. Some possibilities:

* Invent a mildly insane persona. Post as her regularly. "Monday: I'm more sure than ever that my pants are plotting against me. Will keep you posted. // Tuesday: I've just realized that I don't own any pants. Huh." Problem: could get old real fast.

* Do random diarylike things. Tell people What I Did Today, or on occasion What I Thought About Today. Problem: potentially very boring; e.g., today's would go something like "Woke up around ten-thirty after some very strange dreams I can't remember. Showered... mmm, elderflower & tea-tree body wash. Checked my email and BBoards. Made tuna sandwich for lunch, with tomato and lettuce. Note to self: buy more tomato and lettuce. Spent the afternoon making new music mix CDs and listening to old filk tapes." Nobody has any interest in reading this. (Honestly, if you do have any interest in reading that, you have got to get out more. I mean it.)

* Critique media -- books, TV, movies, etc, depending on what I'm reading/watching. Problem: I do this already, on email lists and BBoards and such. Too many of my entries here would just be links to my rants elsewhere.

* Practice writing; force myself to put down at least a couple hundred words on some topic at some point every day. Problem: I've tried that before, and I never keep up with it. Plus the "boring" issue again.

* Talk about my personal troubles, whenever I happen to have them. Problem: could slip far too easily into WTMI.

* Imitate Seanan McGuire: find something I know a lot about (poetry writing, in her case), and deliver short courses on it sporadically. Problem: do I know anything well enough to teach it? If I do, will anyone be interested?

I have no idea, really.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any questions? Any answers? Would anyone care for a mint?

My daily dose of Toondom is here, and I can wump too!

*grins* It's Yin. Who else would exult so over daily dosages of Toondom?
Write songs! Poetry! Anything, actually, and of course we'd be interested in what you have to say. A Toon is always worth listening to. :)
