Today is Impeach Bush Day.

Apparently (and thanks to cadhla for the tip), it's also International Moment Of Frustration Scream Day.



Is it just me, or are those two oddly harmonious?

Keep in mind that the Democrats could gain control of the House, so that we would possibly get Nancy Pelosi.

That said, Bush is not being removed from office anytime soon. There just wouldn't be enough votes to convict.

Nope, but if he's being brought up on impeachment charges at the midterms, while the Repubs are floudering from having covered up the Foley scandal, this might be enough to tip the House back. More, if he's actively defending himself against substantial charges (and these are, enough so that while popular opinion supported Clinton in a "mind your own business" fashion, he's being accused of everything but outright treason) then he'll have too many fires to fight at home to, for example, try to invade Iran or Syria.

Basically, we'll attemping a political castration. And if enough people send in petitions demanding it, this just might work.
