"Please -- what year is this?"

... I kind of love this concept.

*giggling madly*

Heh. I'm reminded of a tongue-in-cheek RPG titled "Diana: Warrior Princess" -- the premise is that it's set in the world of a future TV (or whatever it gets replaced with) show set in the (kinda sorta) 20th century, which is portrayed with the same level of historical accuracy as a certain contemporary series....

I like to play the game where suddenly you're Sam Beckett of Quantum Leap.

I would totally do that if I had friends in town to do it with.

That is awesome.

I am sort of grimly amused and also depressed, though, at how much of the discussion is about how to do this and not get arrested as a potential terrorist.

Nice! I've been watching a ton of Futurama lately, I feel as though I could probably channel it.

Ooh. Awesome.

I do this all the time as part of my real life. But since it's New York nobody seems to notice.

This is incredibly awesome. It's times like this that I really miss my theatre friends in Michigan - I have no one in Chicago who is crazy enough to do this with me!

I'm not nearly mad enough to do this myself, and it wouldn't be much point in the course of my normal day (8 hrs in front of a computer screen, shops, home and maybe a pint), but it is a brilliant idea. More interesting still, I subscribe to the Dresden Codak RSS feed but had no idea he was on any sort of forum.
