Past Present Future
Meme gacked from
maedbh7.
Where were you 10 years ago... where will you be in 10 years?
Age:
THEN - 17
NOW - 27
FUTURE - 37
Employment:
THEN - Ran youth groups in the 5-10 age bracket at my local synagogue, along with my sister.
NOW - Administrative assistant to VP of an investments firm in New Jersey.
FUTURE - God only knows. Hopefully something full-time.
Address:
THEN - Flushing, NY
NOW - Flushing, NY
FUTURE - Probably still Flushing, NY, unless another neighborhood we like opens up.
(Damn. That sounds like I've lived my entire life in one place. Be it known that 13 years ago I was living in Jerusalem, and 15 years ago in Seattle, and in several other places before I was three years old. Just sayin'.)
Residence:
THEN - With my parents in an attached house
NOW - With my husband in a one-bedroom apartment in a gated co-op
FUTURE - With my husband and kid/s, in a house or apartment we own, it is to be hoped.
Pets:
THEN - None
NOW - None
FUTURE - Cats, ideally.
(Again, when living in Seattle, we kept cats. I fully intend to do so again, though perhaps not quite as many.)
Kids:
THEN - None
NOW - None
FUTURE - Some? (Probably not more than three. Hopefully at least one, with God's help.)
Partner:
THEN - None
NOW - The wonderful
sdelmonte.
FUTURE - See "NOW."
Education:
THEN - High school senior
NOW - BA in English completed
FUTURE - Master's in English, someday. (This isn't something I hope to do or intend to do; it's something that's going to happen. I don't really see a way to prevent it. Academia wants me back, and it will have me, one way or another.) (Mind you, I'm not complaining. Or resisting very hard.)
Religion:
THEN - Orthodox Jewish, more or less by default
NOW - Orthodox Jewish, by choice
FUTURE - Probably Orthodox Jewish, barring unforeseen changes in either my own nature or that of Orthodox Judaism. (I've thought about foreseeable changes, and don't see them affecting this. At least I don't think so.)
Why did this meme inspire me to post? I dunno.

"Why did this meme inspire me to post?"
(you ever get the impression Ember likes it when you post? Huh...)
