phonemonkey mentioned you were in London for a con but me and my LJ friends' page are but the rarest of acquaintances these days. Anyway, it sounds like tons of fun! Had you ever visited before? I know between the con and what I assume are lots of relatives up in Golders Green you must have been one super busy Toon. Did you get to visit downtown at all?
We passed Mornington Crescent ourselves on the 29 bus going twixt downtown and our friend's place in Stamford Hill. Didn't see the Willie Rushton memorial plaque, though :(. Have to go again and actually get off the bus, esp since the Last Unreconstructed Pie and Mash Shop in London is nearby, past Camden Road rail station. (even if it were kosher this place wouldn't be kosher, if you follow. All it needs are some blackout curtains and you're in the 40s, but I'm fond of places like that.)
