For auld lang syne, dear friends
The party's over; the toasts have been made and drunk, and "For even death may die" sung to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne." We've chased the last few people out of the apartment (one of whom is on the way back to pick up a forgotten jacket and cellphone), thrown out the trash, put away the leftover food and drink.
Alex is going to sleep, and I plan to join him shortly.

Awesome! We sprang into a small but rousing rendition of this at the NYE party we attended - there being 4 of us who had heard it before singing it gleefully while everyone else tried to figure out whether we were being klingon or what.
