I don't think it's stupid to criticize the government in public, in writing, but I would agree that wearing such a shirt when one knows one is going to be subjected to the scrutiny of Homeland Security and TSA is somewhat naive.

Why? Because the culture of fear propagated by the current administration encourages petty officials to arbitrarily exercise the authority they've been granted, secure in the knowledge that they will suffer no repercussions.
