Ten Things I've Done That You Probably Haven't

Baaa.

1) Written filk in Hebrew about not having finished my homework.

2) Built a centaur out of most of a toy horse, half of a baby doll, and the hair of a broken Barbie doll.

3) Sung in an opera held at, and featuring many residents of, an institute for disabled children.

4) Seen the sun rise from Masada.

5) Enthralled small children by telling Br'er Rabbit stories from memory.

6) Eaten beignets.

7) Walked around Central Park wearing an ivy wreath on my head.

8) Gone swimming outdoors in February.

9) Played two completely unconnected Joss Whedon characters in an online RPG. Simultaneously.

10) Kissed [livejournal.com profile] sdelmonte.

Nope, I've done #4 (unless you specify from the top of Masada.)

[identity profile] bigscary.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Even then, I've done that. And #8, though it was in FL, so that's sort of cheating. And #6.

[identity profile] rabswom.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
I've also done #4.

Also #8 -- in the Mediterranean. And it was damn cold in the freakin' Mediterranean on February 1st.

[identity profile] tyopsqueene.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
#8. IN BRITAIN. Fear my cold-water limey skills.

[identity profile] bigscary.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, and #9, if you substitute "Rumiko Takahashi" for "Joss Whedon". But that doesn't really count.

[identity profile] filkerdave.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
#10 is CHEATING!

[identity profile] dotsomething.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I may have done #6.

#8 see [livejournal.com profile] bigscary's comment I've done that in Florida, which apparently is cheating.

[identity profile] catalana.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I've done 6 many many times. Yum.

[identity profile] nightface.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Done #4, but then I have a slight geographical advantage over you in that regard.

I could do #1 if you insist, as I do have unfinished homework.

Substitute JRR Tolkien for Joss Whedon and I've got you on 9.

Hmm... Does it count if they're part of the same universe, though? Because the two Joss Whedon characters in question aren't.

[identity profile] kaikias.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
The case can be made that they aren't, though several characters and stories were carried over and the transition would be a right pain to pin down.

Batya? Do Faith and Doyle count for number nine, since the never met? 'Cause if so, neener. Oh, and I did #6 in French class once...ooh, and #8, but it's beent a while...

[identity profile] snowy-owlet.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I could eat MORE beignets right now. I love beignets.

[identity profile] doeeyedbunny.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I've got one for you: you fenced with fish while your face was covered with a snood. I'm sure no one else has done that!

[identity profile] suecochran.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
What is a beignet? And what all inquiring minds ought to want to know - WHERE did you go swimming outdoors in February?

[identity profile] sarcasma.livejournal.com 2005-02-24 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I sang in a musical at a centre for the deaf... that was quite... something.

[identity profile] emberleo.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
I live in California and have a heatable pool in my backyard. 8 is trivial.

I've never been in Central Park, but I can't remember off the top of my head how many parks and/or forests I have wandered around in with an ivy wreath on my head...
