Calling all local filker-types...
...to a housefilk!
Sunday, September 12, at Chez Wittenberg in scenic Kew Gardens Hills. Beginning at 2:00 PM and ending, er, whenever we kick you all out. (Which will probably be sometime around eightish or nineish.)
Food will be snacky bits rather than actual meal-type stuff; instead of calling for potluck, we'd like to call for small monetary donations to cover costs.
If you plan to attend, please reply below, so I can get some idea of how many people to expect. If you need directions, drop me a line at.
Come, sit, schmooze, sing - and watch this journal for updates!

I assume donations of food, sealed, with a suitable hechsher are OK? (And monetary, of course).
Can I get there on mass transit?

Directions: Once you get to Jamaica via LIRR _ I assum this is the natural way of approach - you can take the Q20A bus north. The bus stop is across the street from whicher chain has a drug store then, on the northeast corner.
This bus heads up to Main Street, and you should get off at 71st Avenue and Main (this is the first stop after the rather large Kew Gardens Hills Jewish Center on the right). You can then head east - which will be right behind you and then right - on 71st Avenue.
See below on LJ in respose to akawil's post for more info.
