The [Your Name Here] Show: A meme
Picked up the meme from

If your life were The Truman Show...
Which characters are in the opening credits?
My mom and dad, my mother-in-law, my sister,
sdelmonte (The Husband),
ladymondegreen (The Best Friend).
Which companies have paid for product placement?
Can't think of any offhand, but there'd be a lot of "This episode of The Batyatoon Show included music from" spots. The Nields, Dar Williams, Richard Shindell ... Ookla the Mok, Mich Sampson, Tom Smith, Talis Kimberley, Seanan McGuire ...
Who's the famous actor/actress that drops in once in a while as a Special Guest Star?
My Grandpa Zolly. The actor who plays him is mostly retired, but his first appearance here went so well that they directors brought him back. (There was an 'outside joke' of sorts some years ago, when he appeared as an extra in the in-show version of the film Miller's Crossing.)
When have you done something that was so unexpected that the directors were forced to scramble for a plot?
Can't think of anything offhand where they didn't have plenty of advance warning.
When did the directors plan something for you that went off perfectly, without a hitch?
Getting me into fandom. Beautifully orchestrated, and it took like a charm.
Who is your target demographic?
I haven't a clue.
Which former major character is the biggest focus of a "Bring back _____!" letter-writing campaign?
My brother Yechiel. He retired from the show once he had kids, and the character "moved to Israel." They do bring him back for guest spots every so often, but they can't get him to return as a regular. Pity. Close second for "biggest campaign" is
mannoftalent.
And of course there's lots of "minor" characters who show up two or three times a year, but telecommute to the show by way of internet and phone; a number of them are the foci of "Add ____ to the regular cast!" campaigns, the biggest of those being
cadhla.
