Well, maybe not Great, but it's at least a Pretty Good Selkie parody, and I put the revised lyrics (http://songworm.com/lyrics/songworm-parody/ChildofArthurCurry.html) online on songworm.com. I polished them up and posted them after learning at Conflikt that there's now an audience for it; when it first came to me at my first Marcon in 1998 or 1999, I figured the overlap between Child Ballad fans and Ookla the Mok fans was nearly the empty set.

I first thought of the idea when someone in open filking at Marcon did the original ballad and Rand and Adam were in the room. It turned out that she was setting up to launch into "You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me, You Seal." (http://forums.srellim.org/showthread.php?t=108) by Elizabeth Ann Scarborough, whose title I intend to steal. A funny but totally unfair song -- I was tempted to call him a "doomed half-human deadbeat dad" in another song I'm writing, but the poor guy did pay child support in most versions of the ballad, even though he took custody. Buy a boy a seafood dinner and he'll eat for a day; teach him to swim the foam and he'll eat for his entire (tragically short) lifetime.
